Dear Aupair
We are the family - I’m Barbara, Howard is my husband and we have two daughters Eva and Cristina.
We live in Lyon France.
Lyon is a beautiful city with many attractions and things to do. We live in the center too so access to the city is so easy… we walk mainly, but there are busses and trams or trains very close by.
Our apartment is a large duplex with 4 bedrooms and a big terrace on the living level. The downstairs is where your room would be and where the girls bedrooms are. There is a separate entrance for you and you would have your own private bathroom and even a small private terrace from your bedroom. Upstairs is the main living area and terrace and our bedroom.
I am returning to work in October but only part time.
Eva will be 3 years old in October, and is a very active child. She loves reading, drawing, and going to the park. She will start school in September on Mondays Tuesdays Thursdsays and Fridays. Here in France they do not go to school on Wednesdays. Cristina will be 1 year old in September and will attend the creche occasionally when they have space for her, hopefully a few times a week!
We are looking for an aupair to help with the girls whilst we are at work. Someone with a genuine interest in childcare and a good level of English. I am Spanish and Howard is English, we speak English in the house and I obviously speak Spanish to the girls . We are looking for an English contribution to the girls daily life.
A typical day would involve waking up, dressing and feeding the girls. Taking Eva to school and/or Cristina to the creche. If they are not at school then maybe take them to the park and prepare lunch for them. They still take a nap in the afternoons and afterwards some fun time. Dinner,bath and bed, all usually finished by around 8pm. They sleep well for 12 hours so there are no middle of the night wake ups! Light housekeeping will be also appreciated.
It’s not important that you can drive.
For your help we will provide you with full bed and board. Your bedroom is a double room, which has an en-suite shower. There is also a T.V. & video.
We will also provide a car and will pay €120 pocket money a week
